We are experiencing an unprecedented period of volatility both politically and in financial markets. Uncertainty since the GFC has become the new normal. In response to this uncertainty, FX rates continue to be volatile. This creates many challenges for companies in this globalized world as Treasurers look to manage large earnings uncertainty.
The Deloitte Treasury & Capital Markets team helps Treasurers solve both strategic and operational challenges ranging from hedging strategies to internal cash management to system optimisation, all in addition to traditional risk framework advisory. They have helped bring about fundamental changes to companies spanning from Fortune 500s to family owned businesses – changes which ensure that the Treasurer has a seat in the Boardroom and is recognised separately from the financial controller or tax manager
Join us to hear their take on the fundamentals of foreign exchange including some of the instruments used for FX risk management, market pricing conventions, approach to determining an FX hedging strategy and some of the challenges facing Treasurers in the current volatile market.
