MESSAGE FROM THE CEO
A couple of exciting things to update on this month.
Firstly, as always, Conference is approaching fast. We have yet again put together (no bias) an outstanding program. A huge thanks to our Conference Committee, and to Nadia Kentera and team. I’m really pleased to say that registrations are significantly up on last year, its promising to be a bumper event, not only program wise, but just as importantly for the networking and relationships. Link to the site here and I would certainly encourage you to check it out and register if you haven’t.
Secondly, really excited about the commencement of our Young Leaders Committee. This is a national committee meeting monthly to advise and help us to improve our offering to the younger demographic. As you may know, we are under-represented in this demographic and keen to change that. The Committee, led by Mary-Jane Carcasona has already hit the ground running – working on our University engagement strategy in conjunction with State Committees, recording one of our first new podcasts and helping us think through our membership offerings for students and recent graduates. I’m really excited about what this group will bring to the FTA. Full Committee can be found here. We would still like a couple more members, please get in touch if interested, or know someone we should approach.
Have a great month, look forward to seeing many of you in Melbourne for Conference!
LIQUIDITY INSIGHTS: RBA – UNCHARTED TERRITORY FOR UNATTAINABLE GOALS
The third rate cut by the Reserve Bank of Australia in five months has left the central bank in uncharted territory and one step closer to unconventional monetary policy to achieve potentially unattainable employment and inflation goals.
MESSAGE FROM THE TECHNICAL COMMITTEE
At last months meeting we spent most of the meeting discussing IBOR Fallbacks and the upcoming conference session on Financial Markets in 2020 which will cover IBOR Fallbacks and Leasing, together with a taste of Brexit.
The Technical Committee also finalised our guide to IBOR Fallbacks.

I look forward to seeing you all at the FTA Conference in a few weeks
